Description: A low protein Italian pasta shaped like long ribbons -- a good choice for serving with hearty, thick sauces. For variety, break in pieces and put into soups or use for a salad. The Aproten line of pastas are also wheat/lactose-free and low in salt and potassium, making them suitable for individuals with renal diseases as well.
Preparation: Boil 4 cups of water per 62 g of pasta. Stir pasta into the boiling water and then simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse under running water for approximately 2 minutes to remove excess starch. The cooking time listed may vary depending on boiling methods and tastes.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place.
Ingredients: Corn starch, potato flour, inulin, mono- and diglycerides, safflower meal.
